Under recommendation from the lovely [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com], the first chapter of my NaNo that's been gathering dust since last year. She was bored and if nothing else it'd give her something to do.

Two-sentence summary: Anthony Collins, a now renowned but lazy writer, gets more than he asks for when two detectives, Maxine and Ryan, arrest him for possession. The three of them get caught up in a supernatural being's lust for revenge that claims more than they were willing to give.

Do note, it's not really been edited since the point of NaNo was to just get stuff on paper and I'm just too lazy to do so right now. Any issues with the writing can be taken up with me.

( Anthony Collins leaned over his desk, tapping his pen wildly as he attempted to stir up some semblance of an idea in his head. )

Doing the NCIS Big Bang again this year. Especially considering that it's the only thing I've ever really finished, so whoooop!

Anyways, what I'm requesting is:

A grammar beta(s): Someone to make sure I don't leave out words, that my sentences make sense, and etc.

A character beta(s): Someone who knows NCIS and is willing to read the fic and past all my grammatical errors to look just at the character interactions and etc.

The reason I'm separating the two because if you're reading it just for grammar, you might miss out on character stuff and vice versa.

I can't compensate you monetarily but I will love you forever for helping me! <3

Summary: When Ziva and McGee witness a murder first-hand, they and their team must work against the clock to prevent a bioterrorist attack that may claim the life of one of their own.
Notes: There’s a little cameo by the SRU from Flashpoint (another CBS series), but you don’t need to know who they are. Also, I am not a scientist but I have worked hard to make the “science” in the fic as factual and realistic as possible. And finally, I try to mimic the choppy style of the show and yes I decided just to post it in two giant posts because I was too lazy to separate it further [Chapter 5 is split into two pieces]

Got back from a week in Michigan yesterday and so I'm trying to getting around to reading/looking at/loving everyone's awesome work. I took a break to indulge this little plot bunny (and to try and crack my writer's block on Family):

Title: Remorse

Spoilers: Just for the Acid!Tokyo arc (but it isn't related to the arc at all)
Note: Set sometime after the Celes arc. This is a drabble about how Fai (and kind of Kurogane) might react differently when things go wrong; how returning to Celes may change him.





A cold wind blew across a small courtyard, dead leaves dancing across the smoke-coloured bricks. The ornate stone buildings surrounding the courtyard sat unmoving, unfeeling, matching the emotions of the man sitting below them.

The leaves continued their tangled waltz until they brushed against the base of the great stone fountain that lay in the center of the courtyard where they turned to dust and drifted into the wind.

The man sat gazing at the withered marble angel, the centerpiece of the fountain, whose arms were raised to the heavens as if begging a higher power for just one more chance. Pale blonde hair curtained an even paler face and a single blue eye traced the angel’s longing face again and again; he didn’t even hear the footsteps behind him.

“We did everything we could for her,” came a soft murmur, a voice rough with restrained emotion.

The blonde sitting on the rim of the fountain didn’t answer, but instead continued his silent plea for this angel. And again, footsteps drew the second man closer.

“We have to go.”

A comforting hand found its way to the blonde’s shoulder, taking a gentle hold of the coarse tunic. After a few moments of the nearly silent wind whisking leaves from the trees, the blonde nodded and turned to the second, dark-haired man. Crimson met blue in a silent conversation and the thinner man rose to his feet, allowing his companion to lead him out of the courtyard, but not before taking one final glance over his shoulder.

His eye found the angel’s and he softly murmured, “I’m sorry.”

I've been fighting a sinus infection off and on this week. Blargh. So, I'll post this and go sleep or something.

Spoilers: If you haven't read 120-129ish
Summary: While working on a map, Sakura and Fai's day is cruelly interrupted.
Important: As before, set in the future, AU on Cuban Missile Crisis, working on assumption Fai's native language is at least extremely similar to Russian.
